Hazel Hill Drone Services — rapid deployment
Thermal drone deer, pet & livestock recovery
When minutes count and ground searches stall in heavy timber or brushy draws, high-resolution thermal imaging cuts through the darkness and thick canopy to locate heat signatures day or night across Northeast Missouri and Southeast Iowa.

Primary recovery applications
Built for the searches ground crews can't finish
Searching on foot often pushes wounded game onto neighboring property, scares lost pets deeper into cover, and destroys critical sign. Aerial thermal scanning covers hundreds of acres in minutes with zero ground impact.
Wounded deer recovery
Locate downed bucks and does after the shot, before coyotes or warm temperatures spoil the meat. Thermal sensors detect body heat through heavy oak timber, cedar thickets, and standing corn where flashlights are useless.
Lost dog & pet search
Scared pets flee human voices and bed down in creek beds or brushy draws. We fly quiet, systematic grid patterns to detect living heat signatures without spooking or chasing your pet further away.
Escaped livestock & cattle
Find cattle, calves, and horses that breached fence lines or became trapped in flooded river bottoms. We sweep rough pasture, timber acreage, and steep ravines to pinpoint exact animal locations.
The technical edge
Enterprise-tier aircraft, built for search and rescue
We operate professional enterprise-tier aircraft engineered for search and rescue operations in rugged terrain and adverse weather.
Radiometric thermal sensors
Detects subtle temperature differences down to tenths of a degree. Living animals and freshly downed game glow distinctly against cold ground, snow, and dense understory.
200x hybrid optical zoom
Confirm antler configurations, verify ear tags, or identify specific pet markings from legal flight altitude, without hovering low enough to disturb wildlife or spook bedded animals.
GPS pinpoint walk-in coordinates
The moment a target is identified, the laser rangefinder locks onto the exact location and provides sub-meter GPS coordinates compatible with onX Hunt, Google Maps, and handheld GPS units.
Zero scent & trample contamination
Searching on foot spreads human scent across sanctuary areas and damages blood trails. Aerial thermal scanning preserves the property and lets you walk directly to the recovery point.
Critical recovery protocol
What to do before we arrive
Mark the last known location (LKL)
Drop a pin on your hunting or mapping app at the exact stand location, point of impact, or last visual contact. Do not wander past this point.
Back out and keep the area quiet
Resist the urge to push timber with search parties or tracking dogs if the trail goes cold. Excessive commotion bumps wounded deer onto neighboring properties and pushes lost pets into deeper hiding.
Call us immediately
Thermal contrast is sharpest during cooler morning and evening hours, as well as throughout the night. The sooner we put eyes in the sky, the higher your recovery probability.
